Bases: OPEN ... ~1~
OPEN: Bases used with Drill and Glue Pin technique.
The Open_Bases come in Medium (green) and Large (orange). Each size has an Arch and Left and Right Quadrant.
There are two sets of index marks on the side for positioning the Cuspid and First Molar. The "L" index is for the lower and the "U" index is for the upper.
All Open_Bases can be used as an upper or lower.
A Mounting_Plate is snapped on to the bottom surface before filling the Open_Base with stone. Stone is teased around the die pins before positioning die model.
Note: Using the Open_Base with the standard drill and glue pin technique saves on stone and also adds the convience of being able to remove the working model from the articulator.
